OKX Launches OKX Money App for Stablecoin Savings, Transfers and Card Spending

OKX announced OKX Money on October 6, 2026, launching a standalone app designed for saving, sending and spending digital dollars. The product brings stablecoin balances, transfers and card payments into one consumer-facing service, while offering eligible customers as much as 10% annual percentage yield on USDG balances.

The yield offer is the most prominent acquisition feature in the launch. CoinDesk reported that the maximum 10% APY is available to eligible users without staking or lockups, alongside cashback of up to 10% on qualifying purchases. Neither maximum applies as a universal rate in the terms described, and eligibility and qualifying-purchase conditions are material to the offer.

OKX Money combines dollar-stablecoin saving, transfers and card spending

OKX Money is a standalone app designed to combine digital-dollar balances, instant stablecoin transfers and card spending, rather than add another spending feature to OKX’s broader exchange. Transfers to friends and family on the platform are free, according to the OKX Money product page.

Within the app, supported balances can move between holding, transfers and payments, putting those use cases in one product.

USDG, USDC and USDT funding and conversion options

More than 50 supported currencies can be used to fund accounts, according to OKX. Inside the app, users can hold USDG, USDC and USDT—the three named dollar-stablecoin options available at launch.

The stablecoins also serve different roles in the product’s proposition: USDG is linked to the advertised yield, while USDC and USDT are supported holdings and conversion options.

For conversions, OKX says customers can move between supported stablecoins without conversion fees. The wording does not make a broader claim about possible costs for funding, payment processing or other use of the service.

Up to 10% USDG APY and purchase cashback

CoinDesk reported that eligible customers can earn up to 10% APY on USDG balances, with no staking requirement or lockup period. In a market where yield programmes often require users to commit assets for a set term or interact with a staking mechanism, the absence of those requirements is a central part of OKX Money’s pitch.

“Up to” is significant: it describes a ceiling, not a return promised to every account or every balance. OKX has also attached eligibility to the APY offer, so a customer’s applicable terms may differ from the headline maximum.

The app additionally advertises up to 10% cashback on qualifying purchases. That pairs a balance-based incentive with a card-use incentive, potentially encouraging customers to both retain USDG in the app and use its spending tools. The available information does not specify the qualifying-purchase categories or the cashback rate applicable to individual users.

Virtual and physical cards for global purchases

OKX Money supports virtual and physical cards for global spending. The virtual card works within the app, while the physical card extends the service to in-person purchases.

For purchases in other currencies, OKX says it charges zero foreign-exchange fees and adds no conversion markup.

The app also combines USDG yield, fee-free conversions between supported stablecoins, instant stablecoin transfers and card payments, placing those features in one consumer stablecoin product.
