Zcash Price Is Flashing a Warning Sign for Bitcoin and Ethereum

Zcash price has rallied for the past 10 months, while Bitcoin and Ethereum have largely struggled. In fact, ZEC gained 147% year-to-date. However, the privacy coin is now showing selling pressure on its short-term charts.

After a sustained rally, ZEC traders have accumulated gains they may want to protect if momentum fades.

Zcash’s Rally Faces a Critical Technical Test

The hourly picture has softened. ZEC has slipped below short-term moving averages, suggesting buyers are losing immediate control.

However, the daily chart remains relatively strong. Its relative strength index (RSI) is around 55, while the price remains above longer-term moving averages.

The next major support sits near $1,249. A sustained break below that level could expose $1,131.

Conversely, reclaiming $1,354 and then $1,405 would suggest buyers remain willing to defend the rally.

Could Bitcoin and Ethereum Follow Zcash?

Bitcoin is already showing weaker momentum.

Near $76,000, its daily RSI stands around 38.5. A break below $74,845 could open the way toward $73,253.

Ethereum, trading near $2,247, is facing similar pressure. Its RSI sits around 40, with $2,197 as immediate support and $2,265 as resistance.

If ZEC loses support while Bitcoin and Ethereum break their own key levels, it would strengthen the case that selling pressure is spreading across crypto.

Still, Zcash has its own catalyst. Its major NU7 network upgrade went live this week, potentially adding coin-specific volatility.

The next test is whether ZEC’s weakness spreads from hourly trading into daily closes, and whether Bitcoin and Ethereum follow.
